The service
I provide an independent assessment of an author's manuscript (ms), including the proposal, thereby giving constructive editorial guidance and advice.
I will provide a written, detailed report, taking into account any issues or concerns that the author has raised. I will examine the structure, style, tone and characterization of the book. Depending on work load I aim to deliver this between 4-6 weeks on receipt of manuscript and fee.
Preparing your submission
It should include an introductory letter highlighting any specific concerns about the manuscript and brief information about the author.
All submissions should be sent complete with a proposal. Manuscripts must be double line spaced in 12 font, A4, with each page numbered.
I am willing to read either a completed manuscript or just sample chapters. If only sample chapters are sent it is essential to send a proposal.
Please note I do not edit poetry or military/naval history or undertake copy-editing and/or proofreading.

I accept submissions via email in Word to submissions@annejoseph.co.uk or via post to 7 Muswell Avenue, London, N10 2EB, UK.
Disclaimer: I cannot take responsibility for any lost manuscripts. Never send the only copy of your work.

Please send your payment at the same time as submitting your work as regrettably I cannot start work until payment is received.
